Susan R. Wilson, CPA, is a seasoned financial executive with more than 35 years of experience in the commercial banking and financial services industries. As Chief Financial Officer at Capstone Investment Group, she oversees the firm’s financial strategy, accounting operations, and financial reporting, helping support the organization’s growth as a multifaceted financial services enterprise.

Susan began her career in public accounting before spending more than three decades in the commercial community banking industry, where she held a variety of financial and operational leadership roles. One of her most notable achievements was serving as a founding officer of a De Novo commercial bank in 2003. In addition to her banking career, she has also served as CFO in higher education and in the water treatment industry, bringing a broad financial perspective shaped by experience across multiple sectors including financial services and closely held family enterprises.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Computer Science from Minnesota State University–Mankato and a graduate banking degree from the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Susan is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the University of Northwestern–St. Paul and as Secretary and Treasurer for the Board of iWork4Him Ministries. Outside of work, she enjoys vocal and instrumental music, card making, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
